y = x + 4 y = −2x − 2 Explain how you will solve the pair of equations by substitution. Show all the steps and write the solution in (x, y) form.
You can use the method of comparison. Since both equations show the value of y on the right-hand side, and since y=y, so we can write x+4=-2x-2 and hence solve for x (one equation, one unknown). Once x is found you can substitute its value into one of the two equations to find y.
but what is the final answer please i need help
(-2,2)
