What is the lateral area of the prism? Assume the figure is resting on its base. A. 880 cm2 B. 652 cm2 C. 326 cm2 D. 300 cm2

OpenStudy (anonymous):

I say A??

OpenStudy (haseeb96):

Lateral Area of a prism = PH since P is perimeter and H is height

OpenStudy (anonymous):

so perimeter times height?

OpenStudy (haseeb96):

perimeter multiply with height

OpenStudy (anonymous):

22*5?

OpenStudy (haseeb96):

no perimeter means sum of all the sides.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

35

OpenStudy (anonymous):

what next?

OpenStudy (haseeb96):

knowing there are three dimensions in a rectangular, l w and h, the perimeter is: 4(l+w+h) for all other prisms, it is the sum of the edges.

OpenStudy (haseeb96):

so calculate the perimeter

OpenStudy (haseeb96):

now 700 cm3 is correct answer and there is no such options . so i think you should hire a moderator to solve it

OpenStudy (tkhunny):

The Height should not be in the perimeter. Base Perimeter is 8 + 22 + 8 + 22 = 60 Height is 5
