There are eight French statements listed below. Choose six and change the statements to the negative. These first five sentences all contain verbs. Remember that in order to make a French sentence negative we put “ne” in front of the verb and “pas” after it. “Ne” becomes “n” before a word beginning with a vowel. In the five sentences below, the verbs are all in *bold*. 1. Je *suis* à la plage. 2. Vous *êtes* en ville. 3. Tu *es* à l'usine. 4. C'*est* un livre. 5. Ce *sont* des stylos.

here, follow the pattern. after a verb like choissis, say ne, and pas after like ne choissis pas 1. Je ne suis pas à la plage. 2. Vous n'êtes pas en ville. 3. Tu n'es pas à l'usine. 4. Ce n'est pas un livre. 5. Ce ne sont pas des stylos.

if the verb has a es, connect the ne with the es to form n'es and so forth with other verbs that have a beginning conjugation of e to form proper simple structure! happy studying!
