if the dots look like they are going up then it positive. If they look like they are going down they are negative. If it looks scattered then it is scattered

Two variables are correlated if a change in the level of one variable is accompanied by a change in the level of the other variable. The change may be in the same direction ( in which case it is positive correlation) or the opposite direction ( negative correlation). In your question, the weight of the cat increases with age. Therefore the weight and the age are correlated. Do you think the graph shows positive correlation, or negative correlation?
