What makes the theme of waiting in Dorothy Parker's "A Telephone Call" a universal theme?        Most people have experienced the torture of waiting.     People from different cultures experience waiting differently.        It stands for hope, which is something everyone knows about.        It is something that only a few people can relate well to. i was thinking of B.

Expectations too often leads to disappointment. Don't commit yourself to someone who is not committed to you. I personally think the story is an act of rebuking childish, immature thoughts of young people who fall into infatuation. Most people can probably relate that later on, when they're all grown up, they laugh at how stupid and illogical they were back then.
