Why are flowering plants more efficient at pollinating than gymnosperms? Gymnosperms do not have a way to spread their seeds for pollination. Gymnosperms just aren’t as lucky. Gymnosperms rely on wind for pollination, which is a more reliable and precise method than that of flowering plants. Flowering plants rely on animal pollinators, which are more precise and reliable than gymnosperm methods of pollinating.
