y=2x+10 y=2x-5 1). 0 2). 1 3). Infinitely many

OpenStudy (texaschic101):

y = mx + b.....in this form, the m is your slope and the b is your y intercept. y = 2x + 10 --- slope is 2 and y intercept is 10 y = 2x - 5 --- slope is 2 and y intercept is -5 Learn this.... if the slopes are the same and the y intercepts the same = infinite solutions if the slopes are the same and the y intercepts different = parallel lines = no solutions if the slopes are different and the y intercepts different = one solution so what do you think the answer is now ??

OpenStudy (anonymous):

The slopes are the same and the y intercept are different so it would be #2. Thank you for explaining.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

#1 sorry. Miss read that.

OpenStudy (texaschic101):

if slopes are the same and y intercepts different, then it is a parallel line with 0 solutions
