Just solve in the order of PEMDAS: (for multiplication and division, it is left to right. It does not have to be multiplication first. Same thing with addition and subtraction.) Parenthesis- solve what's inside parentheses Exponents- solve those with exponents Multiply(or divide)*- solve Divide(or multiply)*- solve Add(or subtract)*- solve Subtract(or add)*- solve *whichever comes first in the equation: ex. 7-5(3+5)+4 7-5(8)+4 7-40+4 In this case, subtraction is first, sooo... -33+4 End result.... -29 !!!!! =D
