The spice in those containers were probably not fresh. D. Italy, in addition to many other European countries, now use the euro as its currency.
Could somebody please explain to me how i can find the answer?
First you need to understand how verbs agree with eachother. It also helps to take out the other random stuff in the sentence.
A. A snowstorm is not unusual in many places. B. The newscasters seems very friendly. C. The spice were probably not fresh. D. Italy now use the euro as its currency. Simplifying the sentences like so can help you better understand and pick out the right one. Usually it is the one that sounds the best. Which one do you think it is?
oh ok,i think either b or d
or wait, not b,it woud be "seem" not "seems"
The verb has to agree with the subject. for B seems is plural and the subject is plural also. B is not correct.
Italy is a singular country.. use is a singular verb. it would need to be uses. D isn't correct.. try again!! :)
ok,A? that one seems to make the most sense
yes you are correct! great job!
Thanks so much for the help!! :)
