Mystery stories include a death of someone or crimes. But the plot revolves in solving that mystery and not usually includes risking lives of the characters.

Thriller stories or suspense always give the readers the "on-edge" feelings, which is commonly includes of dangerous situations for the main characters.

Folklore is usually shows a tradition of a certain culture.. examples are legends, fables etc.

Detective, this is somewhat similar with mystery stories.
