Hello @darlenerita! I believe that a somatic cell is an example of a diploid cell because a somatic cell contains of chromosomes that are arranged in pairs and this is called diploid and the organism is called a diploid organism just so you know. Good luck! :)

In diploid organisms, diploid cells contain the complete set of necessary chromosomes, while haploid have only half the number of chromosomes found in the nucleus.
