Logging on is a bit complicated these days.

Question

The landing page (home page?) has no place to enter your log in information.

It has a button that says "log in" or something to that effect.

Pressing the button takes you to the "Find a subject" dialog and possibly to a Subject page.

The Subject page has a "log in" button which is the pressed and it takes you to a page that you can actually log in at.

Is there a reason for this complication?

im not concerned with a work around, I already have a work around.  im curious WHY i have to work around to start with.  hence posting it in the feedback section so the admins can review it.
