I need some really good help for alot of work. I got behind in math bc of life in general. I have been playing catch up but am now stuck with 5 days to finish 7 unit /semester assesments. Can somebody please please help me get it done. I have one other course i am trying to finish in this same time frame. It is 8th grade intermediate math. 1.Simplify. –1 + 5(6 – y) A.–y + 5 B.–y + 29 C.–5y + 29 D.–5y – 31 2. u NEGATIVE 3 =1/125 U= 3. What is the product written in scientific notation? (2.1 × 10 NEG. 2)(3.2 × 10 NEG. 4)

1. The answer is C. This is because you have to expand the brackets -1+5(6-y) The -1 remains the same but the bracket changes. -1+30-5y This is because the 5*6 is 30 and 5*y is 5y This can be simplified to 29-5y or -5+29

Thanks :) I am so stuck right now lol...

2. The answer is: U =5 first, you take the U^-3 and put it as 1/U^3, that is because you cannot have a negative exponent, you MUST turn the exponent into a positive.... now you have 1/U^3 = 1/125... now you find the uncubed version of 125:::::: the cube root of 125 is 5 so, when you have U^-3, you are looking at 5^-3..
