so in 1 hour it rose 1 / 1/4 divided by 4 1/2

do do this division you convert each fraction to an 'improper fraction'

4 1/2 = 8 1/2 's + 1/2 = 9 1/2's = 9/2
1 1/4 = 4 1/4's + 1/4 = 5 / 4
