Help with law of sines?

OpenStudy (bloomlocke367):

|dw:1432926215703:dw|

OpenStudy (bloomlocke367):

I'm looking for angle B

OpenStudy (bloomlocke367):

XD can you help?

OpenStudy (bloomlocke367):

I know the law of sines, and before I can find b, i need to find the angle c. so right now I have 13sinx=19sin40

OpenStudy (bloomlocke367):

@amistre64 Can you come help?

OpenStudy (bloomlocke367):

@ganeshie8

OpenStudy (durply):

hi

OpenStudy (durply):

would you like to how to do it or the answer

OpenStudy (bloomlocke367):

please don't spam in my question XD

OpenStudy (durply):

yes

OpenStudy (durply):

wait how old are you guys?

OpenStudy (bloomlocke367):

thank you

OpenStudy (bloomlocke367):

I'm 17. Now, can you help?

OpenStudy (durply):

yup im 14 doe

OpenStudy (durply):

do u just want the answer

OpenStudy (anonymous):

yea

OpenStudy (bloomlocke367):

as long as you can help, I don't care.

OpenStudy (bloomlocke367):

and I want an explanation, not an answer

OpenStudy (anonymous):

here is an awesome trig sheet that i made. you will find the law of sines on the right side. learnix.net/wordpress/wp-content/uploads/Trig-Cheat-Sheet-1.4.pdf

OpenStudy (durply):

https://youtu.be/_syV6cDk7Lg

OpenStudy (durply):

thats is the formula follow that

OpenStudy (bloomlocke367):

I already know the law.. I'm just not sure how to continue. I have the formula already

OpenStudy (irishboy123):

work out angle C first, and do it yourself that will give you angle B. you sais: "13sinx=19sin40" you called it x. call it C, be consistent with the diagram so 13sinC=19sin40 C = ..... B = .....

OpenStudy (bloomlocke367):

how do I work it out from there? that's why I'm stuck @IrishBoy123

OpenStudy (bloomlocke367):

...

OpenStudy (bloomlocke367):

@IrishBoy123

OpenStudy (bloomlocke367):

I didn't even give options

OpenStudy (bloomlocke367):

@amistre64

OpenStudy (irishboy123):

what is angle C? you can work that out

OpenStudy (bloomlocke367):

right now I have sinC=19sin40/13. what do I do next?

OpenStudy (irishboy123):

use you calculator

OpenStudy (irishboy123):

use you"r" calculator

OpenStudy (bloomlocke367):

all I have is a scientific calculator

OpenStudy (irishboy123):

that's more than you need .... in terms of hardware arcsin (19sin40/13) = 70 -ish does that help?!

OpenStudy (bloomlocke367):

ohhh.. my calculator doesn't have arcsin. that was my problem

OpenStudy (irishboy123):

buy one that does :p lol!!

OpenStudy (irishboy123):

so what is B? does your scientific calculator have "+" and "-" buttons ?!?!

OpenStudy (bloomlocke367):

XD okay. so then I have a and c, they add up to 110. 180-110=70 so angle b is 70, right?

OpenStudy (bloomlocke367):

yes, hahaha

OpenStudy (irishboy123):

sounds about right!!

OpenStudy (bloomlocke367):

okay, can you help with the law of cosines?

OpenStudy (irishboy123):

fire away but open a new thread always open a new thread for a new question

OpenStudy (bloomlocke367):

I know that.
