eh my mom would know more about this than me but I would go with something like starving the child, beating ,sexual abuse, not buying the necessities it needs to live with.

there are other bad things a parent can do but that is just abusive kind of stuff.

when a new mother gives birth and she can't stand her child always yelling the baby ends up being shaken aka shaking baby syndrome which can cause can cause swelling of the brain, internal bleeding, detached retinas leading to blindness, mental retardation, and death.
