OpenStudy (here_to_help15):

How would i do this?

OpenStudy (here_to_help15):

OpenStudy (here_to_help15):

@perl

OpenStudy (anonymous):

do what?

OpenStudy (here_to_help15):

How to do the problem... Just a guidance

OpenStudy (campbell_st):

well tangents from an external point are equal... so if JA = 10 then JB = 10 if KC = 9 then KB = 9 so JK = JB + KB so JB = 10 + 9 JB = 19 I'll let you finish.... and using this idea you should be able to find the length of each side and thus the perimeter

OpenStudy (campbell_st):

oops should read JK = 19

OpenStudy (here_to_help15):

yea haha i was wondering where that was

OpenStudy (here_to_help15):

but @campbell_st im not sure where or how this leading to the conclusion?

OpenStudy (campbell_st):

apply the same reasoning to the other sides side JL = JA + LA side LK = LC + KC remember about tangents form an external point LC = LA you aleady know JK = 19

OpenStudy (here_to_help15):

do i add them once im done?

OpenStudy (campbell_st):

once you find the 3 side lengths... just add the sides for the perimeter

OpenStudy (here_to_help15):

Ok can i tell you my answer?

OpenStudy (campbell_st):

sure

OpenStudy (here_to_help15):

This is just a prdiction before i finish the work lol 66?

OpenStudy (campbell_st):

nope... not 66

OpenStudy (here_to_help15):

:(

OpenStudy (campbell_st):

here is a simple method... add the 3 measurements you have been given then double the answer

OpenStudy (here_to_help15):

@campbell_st I have to be done soon because i have to go to a family funeral so if you can please help me

OpenStudy (here_to_help15):

with a answer or something i promise to go over it in a week with you

OpenStudy (campbell_st):

read my simple method...

OpenStudy (here_to_help15):

So A ?

OpenStudy (campbell_st):

that's my guess

OpenStudy (here_to_help15):

Guess? lol

OpenStudy (here_to_help15):

@campbell_st

OpenStudy (here_to_help15):

OpenStudy (here_to_help15):

Is this C ?

OpenStudy (campbell_st):

so you have a semi circle from z to w... so that's 180 plus the arc from W to X which is 63 so by adding them... that would be my guess

OpenStudy (here_to_help15):

So am i right? or are you telling me its D ?

OpenStudy (campbell_st):

well 180 + 63 = ..?

OpenStudy (here_to_help15):

243

OpenStudy (campbell_st):

that's my guess

OpenStudy (here_to_help15):

lol you keep saying guess

OpenStudy (here_to_help15):

Making me nervous

OpenStudy (campbell_st):

call it an educated guess

OpenStudy (here_to_help15):

mhmm

OpenStudy (here_to_help15):

@Michele_Laino Can you clarify ths?
