As the offspring carries characteristics from both parents IT provides a host of advantages, including improved defense against disease and deadly parasites. Sorry typo
okay thank you:)
What would happen to the possible variation in gametes if the number of chromosome pairs increased from two to three? What if the number increased again from three to four?
@Angeleyes108
one homologous chromosome is inherited from the organism's mother, the other from the organism's father.
It has to do with the fact that the more chromosomes there are, the more opportunity there is for crossing-over and recombination. These increase variation in the gametes.
okay thank you!
You're welcome! I need to go, so if you have any more questions i wont be online, but tomorrow i would be online to answer. :)
okay sounds good, thank you so much!
