Please help with homework! :) Model the function rule y = -2x - 3 with a table of values.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Do you know what table of values means ? It means that you pick some values of X and get the corresponding ones of Y So let's get some values , let them to be : x = -2 , -1 , 0 , 1 , 2 You know have to get Y's value for each X which will be easily got by subs. by x in the equation , so y's for this x's will be : y = 1 , -1 , -3 , -5 , -7 then you plot on the paper and connect them .. And horray! you get the graph Let me know if you got it :)

I got it but for my answer do I need to show these points on a graph or can I just submit the y and x points as the answer? @Omar_Elboredy

OpenStudy (anonymous):

U have to show these on the graph as he says " Model the function rule" modelling is known to be plotting "drawing" the function :)

OpenStudy (anonymous):

You just need to submit the points.

Thanks I was thinking graphing all those points would be a lot
