Help! Which of the following is equivalent to cos y?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

sin x sin y tan x tan y

OpenStudy (haleyelizabeth2017):

So cosine is adjacent over hypotenuse. Tan is opposite over adjacent, so I don't think that would work.

OpenStudy (haleyelizabeth2017):

Now you can cross those out. What do you think it is?

OpenStudy (haleyelizabeth2017):

Sine is Opposite over hypotenuse, if you didn't know :) SOH CAH TOA

OpenStudy (haleyelizabeth2017):

Of course, so is it sin x or sin y? I know what it is, but I would like you to try :)

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Sin X?

OpenStudy (haleyelizabeth2017):

Ding ding ding, we have a winner!

OpenStudy (anonymous):
