Help! Which of the following could be used to find the measure of angle C if AB and AC are given?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

tan sin–1 cos–1 tan–1

OpenStudy (haleyelizabeth2017):

What do you think it is?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Cos-1?

OpenStudy (haleyelizabeth2017):

Nope.... remember. SOH CAH TOA. We aren't given the hypotenuse ;)

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Tan-1?

OpenStudy (haleyelizabeth2017):

I think so. I'll have @Harindu check to be sure :)

OpenStudy (anonymous):

yeah you can use Tan-1 to find angle of C

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Thanks

OpenStudy (haleyelizabeth2017):

Because originally, you'd do tan(C)=ab/ac, then you'd multiply both sides by tan -1 to cancel the tan :)
