Help me please :) A movie theater sells student tickets for $5 and adult tickets for $10. On Saturday night, 2,500 people go to the theater and ticket sales total $18,000. How many adults and children went to the theater on Saturday night? Which solution is reasonable? A)2000 students and 1000 adults B)1100 adults and 1400 students C)3000 students and 0 adults D)500 students and 1500 adults

OpenStudy (nikato):

well the problem states that 2500 people went. look at your answer choices. Which choice gives you a total of 2500 when you add the adults and children?

OpenStudy (rissyroo118):

as i look at all the choices none of them but B even equal 2,500. So, B is the correct answer & also @nikato thank you for also pointing that out :)

OpenStudy (nikato):

yup. that is correct. and you're welcome!
