Which of the following uses active voice? My new dog will be trained by my big brother. The dog food can be eaten by all the dogs at the party. The dog park was used by the neighborhood pet owners. Our puppies played at the cool new park. I believe that it is either A or D because D has a subject then verb but I don't know if it is in present form and A is in present form I beleive..

@Thesmarterone could you come assist please?

Active voice is a grammatical voice common in many of the world's languages. It is the unmarked voice for clauses featuring a transitive verb in nominative–accusative languages, including English and most other Indo-European languages. Active voice is used in a clause whose subject expresses the agent of the main verb.

"active voice is used in a clause whose subject expresses the agent of the main verb" I don't understand that sentence.. @Thesmarterone

Mehek (mehek14):

active voice is when the subject is doing the action

OpenStudy (anonymous):

so the puppies are playing is the subject doing the action correct?

Mehek (mehek14):

So D is correct because the dogs played in the cool park The dogs do the verb which is played

OpenStudy (anonymous):

thank you so much(:
