How do you determine the scale factor of dilation?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

scale factor = ordinate of any point on dilated graph/ordinate of that point on the previous graph

OpenStudy (amistre64):

its useful to find the center of dilation of its on a graph otherwsie you determine what you multiply one measure by to get the other.

OpenStudy (amistre64):

line of length 2 scaled to a line of length 7 for some scale factor k, 2k = 7
