In which sentence is the fraction written correctly? A. Sharon walked three-fourths of a mile. B. Sabrina shared two-thirds of the pizza. C. I will pay one half of this bill. @Thesmarterone C.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

nope, c is wrong

OpenStudy (anonymous):

C isn't a fraction.

OpenStudy (youngstudier):

I find these a tad bit confusing because in my Gum book, for questions like these, they only had hyphens on the fractions that were right next to the words they were describing, here's one of their examples: Hyphen: The recipe calls for one-half cup of butter (One-half is an adjective that describes cup) No Hyphen: We sold one half of the pies right away (One half is a noun. It is the direct object)

OpenStudy (anonymous):

yesly :)

OpenStudy (youngstudier):

Sooo.... Er, what's that supposed to mean? :-/

OpenStudy (anonymous):

yes.

OpenStudy (youngstudier):

So I'm right?

OpenStudy (youngstudier):

C is correct?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

No, you are far from it.
