They are congruent?
OpenStudy (amistre64):
congruent means equal ... these are not equal
OpenStudy (amistre64):
the solution lies with something called a scale factor ...
OpenStudy (anonymous):
ok
OpenStudy (amistre64):
what is the scale factor

2.6
OpenStudy (amistre64):
i dont get 2.6, how are you trying to work it?
OpenStudy (anonymous):
I did 3.9-1.3
OpenStudy (amistre64):
im not sure why you would do that ...
a scale factor is multiplication ... not addition
OpenStudy (amistre64):
we have 2 sides that we can compare:
3.9 and 1.3
we scale 3.9 to get to 1.3
3.9k = 1.3
and we scale 9.6 to get to b
9.6k = b

3.2
I did 3.9 1.3 and got 3.... so I did 3.2 divided by 3
OpenStudy (amistre64):
3 is the scale factor from right to left :) but its workable all the same
in my setup; k = 1/3
9.6/3 = b = 3.2
OpenStudy (anonymous):
so B=3.2
OpenStudy (amistre64):
correct

Thank you
