OpenStudy (anonymous):

oh this is math omg im so stupid......

OpenStudy (anonymous):

i think that it is c, but the slaves that were in the confederate states weren't considered truly free until the union won the civil war. the proclamation generally declared that all the slaves were free, but since it was made while the war was still going on, the confederates did not enforce it because it went against what they believe in.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

he declared that all slaves became free

Vocaloid (vocaloid):

^ not quite, the Emancipation Proclamation only applied to slaves living in Confederate states.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

ok it said all those living in the union

OpenStudy (anonymous):

so c

OpenStudy (anonymous):

ohhhh yes because they were already free in the union. haha i think your right

OpenStudy (anonymous):

so d?

Vocaloid (vocaloid):

^ yes, I believe D is the correct answer. I did a little research online, every source I read seemed to suggest that. Admittedly, history isn't my thing, it would be better to post this in the history section and see what they say. :)
