Well to stop getting notifications from a post then you just simply delete all your comments on that post and all the notifications will stop.

deleting the content of a question is not advised.

If you are editing your contributions, then deleting is valid. But if its just to hide your activity in a post ... its not a wise move to make.

^ Yeah because it makes it seem that users are talking to themselves and takes things out of context. It's best to only reply to a post if you're ready for a horde of notifications to come. :)

The user was talking about the emails thy get each time someone responds....


To do that, as Jagr mentioned afterwords you have to go to your settings.

Also, deleting your comments from a post will not stop you from getting additional emails that someone replied to your post.

Yeah, I unchecked the boxes to stop notifications… it was becoming too much of a spam in my inbox.

I had used my spam email to sign up for this site, I didn't even know about the emails until 6 months later and by then I had like over 2000 emails from OS. I don't remember the exact count, but it was in the thousands x'D
