OpenStudy (daniellelovee):

find f(-x) of f(x)=4x^2+5x+4

OpenStudy (usukidoll):

ummm is it just evaluating the function when x = -x? or ?

OpenStudy (daniellelovee):

idk :(

OpenStudy (anonymous):

if it is just evaluating to x=-x you should just fill in: \[f(-x) = 4(-x)^2+5(-x)+4\] so that gives you \[f(-x) = 4x^2-5x+4\] an other possibility is you have to determine the inverse function, but that's another notation of your question.

OpenStudy (usukidoll):

yeah... these type of problems have more than one situation involved. That's why when there are just general questions it's hard for us to help unless we get more details.
