Compare and contrast sexual reproduction vs. asexual reproduction.
I mean the biggest difference would be Sexual reproduction takes 2 organisms and asexual reproduction takes 1
sexual reproduction has more genetic diversity than asexual reproduction. in sexual reproduction, there is a chance that a genetic mutation could occur, which means that the individual would be different, but yet similar to its parents. it also means that the individual has 2 different parents genes, so natural selection has a much greater chance in occurring in a species that uses sexual reproduction, which means that the species would evolve more. in asexual reproduction, the offspring is an exact replica of its parent, so there really is no genetic diversity, except if mutations occur, but if a species only relies on genetic mutations to evolve off of, most mutations are neutral, so it wouldn't really benefit of harm the species, so natural selection truly wouldn't take place
