OpenStudy (misty1212):

HI!!

OpenStudy (anonymous):

:)

OpenStudy (misty1212):

the current permiter is \(6\times 8=48\) the new one will be \[48\times 3.5\]

OpenStudy (anonymous):

i got 168? @misty1212

OpenStudy (misty1212):

me too

OpenStudy (misty1212):

oh wait a sec

OpenStudy (misty1212):

i used area not perimeter sorry

OpenStudy (misty1212):

the perimeter is \[2\times 6+2\times 8=28\]

OpenStudy (misty1212):

and \[28\times 3.5=98\] i was wrong, pick \(98\)

OpenStudy (anonymous):

a or d? @misty1212

OpenStudy (anonymous):

area\[=6\times8\times3.5^2=48\times3.5\times3.5=588\]

OpenStudy (misty1212):

as for the current area, it is \(48\) if you incease the perimeter by a factor of \(3.5\) then the are increases by a factor of \(3.5^2\) giving you \[48\times (3.5)^2=588\]

OpenStudy (misty1212):

what @surjithayer said

OpenStudy (anonymous):

thank you @surjithayer
