Need help with sprinklers if anybody knows about it (geometry project)
need more information ...
oh, this one ...
Lol yes
So far i have found the sprinker heads to buy and pipes, i just need help understandng something about sprinklers
I couldnt understand where to connect the timer, and how exactly does the timer turn on the water
the timer mechanics seem irrelevant ... set it and forget it. the placement of the sprinklers seems to be the key. and the coverage they provide.
some sprinklers go tck tck tck in a full circle, some in a partial circle, some are fans that that cover a slice ...
Oh ok, my teacher is really specific lols he would say where would you place the valves(which i dont know are) and he say ill take my buisness elsewhere
ever seen a sprinkler system at work?
Ok i guess my question would be i have a sprinkler that can go from 40 degrees to 360 degrees how many can a valve hold?
no ive just seen them turn on
i would not know about the valve placement ... valves seem to be used so that you water sections at a time instead of the whole yard at once.
These questions i could not find on google, or maybe i havent looked hard enough
Oh i see so i would not need a valve?
you only have so much water pressure to deal with, and if you have to many open port heads, then your coverage sufferes.
HMM ok, how would i be able to make all the sprinklers go at once?
This sounds much better than sections
youd hook them all together from a single pipe ...
Ok
How would the timer turn them on?
but quite frankly, the requirements of your project are not something that i think we can generalize here. nor do i have any expertise on a most efficient setup. all i could do is offer some types for covering the lawn.
depends on the timer
Ok sure, i have found a sprinkler than run 26-38 feet and can rotate up to 40 degrees to 360 degrees
He didnt specify how wide the driveway was so i estimated around 10 feet
I need help understanding how to get the corner of his fence without touching the fence
in real life, we dont need to cover every part of the lawn, water will travel thru the root systems. and i dont know the physics behind an efficient placement. sometimes you have to hit a fence lol
Thanks for helping me btw
Lol ok! That actually helps me alot !
So not every square inch needs to be watered but just enough? How many sprinklers would you think someone would have in a house this size?
i wouldnt know that part ... maybe make up some squares that define coverage, and place them about the place to see whats possible.
Ok thank you. I appreciate your help once again!
|dw:1433107303300:dw| the circle represents the area the actually gets wet the square could represent the area that gets enough water.
placing squares is simpler than placing circles in my opinion
i see and yes i wouldnt wanna go thru the math of find diameters
Thanks amistre i shall go back to work
good luck
