OpenStudy (amistre64):

Placement of the 'Delete' function should be placed at the top of a post.

OpenStudy (amistre64):

Lately, spammers have been doing something that has been called a 'latex bomb?' the delete options is all the way at the bottom, or unreachable in those cases.

OpenStudy (amistre64):

This post is not for chatting in, or posting irrelevant content.

pooja195 (pooja195):

lol its not supposed to be used on the site and yeah I know what you mean xD theres a way to get rid of it but yeah to make a mods life easier they should do that :P dont they already have that though? :/

pooja195 (pooja195):

When theres like an innaproporiate post in the math section I see posts that are deleted within seconds without a mod being on it

OpenStudy (amistre64):

maybe moving it to under the user icon?

pooja195 (pooja195):

oh you mean individual comments.....

OpenStudy (amistre64):

yes, when a 'bomb' is in a valid post .. its not really fair to delete the post itself ...

pooja195 (pooja195):

I havent seen that on a valid post but anyways yeah they should add that :)

OpenStudy (amistre64):

if we can turn the latex off, maybe easier to deal with ... but i dint know how to do that

pooja195 (pooja195):

use inspect element then highlight the bomb or the blank space and erase it in inspect element

pooja195 (pooja195):

heres a post http://openstudy.com/study#/updates/556accc5e4b0ae03fc83b987

OpenStudy (amistre64):

i cant do anything with that in the inspect element stuff ...

OpenStudy (amistre64):

highlight it ... got it

pooja195 (pooja195):

did it work?

OpenStudy (amistre64):

open the developer select the magnifying glass click the post change height to 1

OpenStudy (amistre64):

yeah, i just deleted a bomb someone placed on this one

pooja195 (pooja195):

So now do you know how to delete it? :/

OpenStudy (amistre64):

anyone can delete it, or at least minimize it.

pooja195 (pooja195):

right :) but ONLY the person who inspect elemented dont see it for everyone else its still there.

pooja195 (pooja195):

But for a mod (if they dont implement your suggestion) this can also be another way to do it :)

sammixboo (sammixboo):

This would be a plus :)

eclipsedstar (eclipsedstar):

I agree. It should be changed. It would be better if that type of latex like that wasn't allowed as it would only be abused.

JoelTheBoss (joel_the_boss):

Ok, @wio Copy that code and make us an extension. Tonight, all hell breaks loose.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

This is a great idea.

jaynator495 (jaynator495):

this is why i added a "disable" latex feature in my extension, just saying XD
