A wheel contains 18 red spaces, 18 black spaces, and 2 green spaces. Find the probability of landing on a red space. 9/19 1/2 10/16 9/38

Okay, well first we need to find out how many spaces there are total. To do this, we add all the pieces together. Can you find the total number of spaces?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

After you find how many spaces you have figure out how many of those are red. That will be your fraction. (Red spaces/total number of spaces) Then simplify :)

Wow is was really that simple, I totally was over thinking that one. Thanks

No problem! Anytime :) Which answer did you get? (Just to make sure you are right)

You should have arrived at the first answer, 9/19
