OpenStudy (jojo12g):

Three vertices of a rectangle are given. Find the coordinates of the fourth vertex. (0, 5), (5, 0), (2, –3) A. (–3, 2) B. (2, –3) C. (3, 2) D. (3, –2)

OpenStudy (jojo12g):

will give medal and fan

There are 2 ways you could do this. You could plot it out on a graph and look at where the straight lines would intersect. Just make a graph, plot all the points and draw horizontal and vertical lines from them. Where the lines meet and there is not a given point already would be the location for the answer. Or: Look at the pattern in your points given. Do you see that (0,5) and (5,0) are exact opposites of each other? That they are corresponding points on opposite sides of the same line? Then you would do the same with the other point you are given. The other point you have is (2,-3). So the remaining point would be a transformation of this point as well.

OpenStudy (jojo12g):

so b then

OpenStudy (anonymous):

No. B is the same coordinates as the point you already have been given.

OpenStudy (jojo12g):

d

didn't you like my answer? you don't need to repost just leave it open and someone else can help

OpenStudy (jojo12g):

is it d

Look at the similarities between (0,5) and (5,0). What has happened between these points? What is the difference between these two sets of numbers?
