if my memory serves me write we write a 1 row 3 column matrix for the prices (3 5 7) - the price of the hammers , flashlights, lanterns pre-multiplying the product matrix by this price matrix gives the money taken in by each store for each product

so multiplying thefirst column (Store A) by the price matrix gives Store A 30 15 14

OpenStudy (welshfella):

multiplying the other 2 columns gives a 3*3 matrix of all the money taken in by the 3 stores the sum of the amounts in the middle column gives you total revenue for all flashlights
