can someone help with these steps?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

OpenStudy (gabbyalicorn):

it looks like coordinates if im seeing it correctly

OpenStudy (anonymous):

i have to write an equation for the line shown and it has to be in slope intercept form @gabbyalicorn

Nnesha (nnesha):

y-intercept where line cross y-axis so look at the graph at what point line graph y-axis ?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

y=2

Nnesha (nnesha):

yep right but that's b slope intercept form equation is y =mx+ b where m is slope and b is y-intercept so replace b by 2

Nnesha (nnesha):

now find slope if line increasing = positive slope line decreasing = negative slope slope is negative or positive ?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

positive

Nnesha (nnesha):

line increasing or decreasing on that graph ?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

i guess decreasing now. i thought that way was positive

Nnesha (nnesha):

|dw:1433181505111:dw| if line is coming from 3rd quadrant to 1st quadrant then line is increasing and if it's coming from 2nd quadrant to 4th quadrant then line is decreasing so u were right it's positive bec line is increasing
