How is the level of oxytocin controlled by a positive-feedback mechanism? The oxytocin in blood stimulates the pituitary to maintain the same level of oxytocin. The oxytocin in blood stimulates the pituitary to secrete more oxytocin. The oxytocin in blood stimulates the pituitary to secrete less oxytocin.

I think it is the last answer. If the pituitary gland were to secrete even more oxytocin as it is stimulated by it then it would keep on producing more and more of it the more it got stimulated by the growing amount in the bloodstream.

If it were the first one then if some of the oxytocin were to be lost through an injury, then it would produce less than it was supposed to. If the pituitary gland were to decrease production as it senses more and more oxytocin in the bloodstream and the opposite were true that would result in a steady amount of oxytocin.
