Using The Pythagorean Theorem: |dw:1433205188668:dw| Does his make sense?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

how do i put that into radical form or is it already in radical form..

OpenStudy (ybarrap):

Radical form just means once you get your answer, don't reduce it to decimal form. Plug in \(x=12\) into \(y\) and simplify, but don't find the actual square root of two when you do it.
