The Erie Canal made New York City the Number 1 port in the United States because products could now be shipped to and from __________ through the Great Lakes. A) the South. B) the Northwest Territory. C) Great Britain. D) Spanish Territory.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

@SoullessEyes Can you help again? :3

OpenStudy (anonymous):

I think it is C but I'm not 100%

OpenStudy (soullesseyes):

Course I can. C..okay, good thing I got mah Canadian blood in me XD The Great Lakes are on the border of the US and Canada.. Which do you think it is now?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

B?

OpenStudy (soullesseyes):

Yep, good job. It seems like you don't need much help xD

OpenStudy (anonymous):

I second guess myself too much. Thanks!

OpenStudy (soullesseyes):

No problem, anymore questions?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Which of the following did NOT occur after the War of 1812 in America? Americans began to form their own culture. Americans gained a sense of sectionalism. Great Britain stopped impressing U.S. sailors. Americans gained a sense of nationalism. I guessed B...

OpenStudy (anonymous):

And this one I have no idea. But South or North would make the most sense to me. :P The federal government built most of the roads and canals in the _____. South North West

OpenStudy (soullesseyes):

Hm, well after the War of 1812, the civil war happened...I would say C.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

I did that one on my other attempt and I got it wrong...

OpenStudy (soullesseyes):

Really? Hm....did NOT occur.. it would be either A or B then, and you should go with your instinct if it feels right.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Okay and what about the roads and canals one?

OpenStudy (soullesseyes):

Well, they started to expand west more... They probably had roads in both the North and South, I would say West.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

That's what I thought- but I also got that wrong on the other attempt, I just looked. :P

OpenStudy (soullesseyes):

What the heck?! Stupid questions -_- Hm, the north was more wealthy and might have had more reasons for roads. What do you think?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Yeah that's what I was leaning towards. Thanks a bunch!

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Those were all right by the way haha- just submitted the assessment. Thanks again!
