PLEASE HELP I"VE BEEN STUCK FOR HOURS!! I need to Find x in the two problems I will fan and medal anyone that contributes

OpenStudy (theqube1):

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Cos(x) = Adjacent side / Hypotenuse (x) will be your angle.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

For (d) Sin (x) = Opposite Side / Hypotenuse

OpenStudy (theqube1):

do I do Adjacent side divided by Hypotenuse to get x? And Opposite Side divided by Hypotenuse to get x?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

To do (c) You will do the following 1. Make sure your calculator is set for degrees. 2. Press 2nd then Cos 3. Enter the opposite side divided by the Hypotenuse ( 6/12) 4. Press Enter What do you get?

OpenStudy (theqube1):

0.9999619231

OpenStudy (anonymous):

No...that is incorrect. Is you calculator set on degrees?

OpenStudy (theqube1):

It doesn't have that option

OpenStudy (anonymous):

You do not have a drg button?

OpenStudy (theqube1):

nope

OpenStudy (anonymous):

The answer you should end up with is 60 degrees. Not knowing what your calculator is i cannot help you any further. The steps above are the correct way to solve.

OpenStudy (theqube1):

@nelsonjedi okay well thank you. Would I do the same for the other question?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Yes but instead of cos you would use sin

OpenStudy (theqube1):

Okay thank you!!

OpenStudy (theqube1):

@Babynini I did whatever he said on the calculator an it never gave me 60 so I can't really do either problems if the method isn't correct
