help plz Mike, an architect, won the commission for the new office building. Which of these correctly identifies the appositive in the sentence? Mike an architect the commission office

OpenStudy (anonymous):

im terrible with appositived

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Appositive is used to replaced a noun.. for example "The insect, a spider, crawls under my bed". The appositive here is "a spider" .

OpenStudy (anonymous):

not really replace, sorry about my wording. I mean rename not replace. So from the example i gave above, which do you think is the appositive in your sentence?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

an architect?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

right :) it renames Mike

OpenStudy (anonymous):

thanks :)
