OpenStudy (readergirl12):

Which verb agrees with its subject? The youth choir singers __________ about how to breathe while singing. A. has learned B. learns C. was learning D. learn It's C.

OpenStudy (inowalst):

Right.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Correct mam... Yes sir a right answer if I ever saw one. :)

OpenStudy (kyanthedoodle):

Um...wouldn't it be "were learning?" It's more than one choir singer.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

^

OpenStudy (inowalst):

"while singing" the present. @KyanTheDoodle that's not even an option.

OpenStudy (kyanthedoodle):

I know but it would be correct if it was an option. And "was" isn't incorrect because it's the wrong tense. It's wrong because it indicates the wrong amount of people. I would much rather go with "learned" because it implies more than one person, which is the situation here.

OpenStudy (inowalst):

Ohh! I meant no right.. I thought the one I was thinking of, the right one, was C.. but try again. @readergirl12

OpenStudy (inowalst):

*not

OpenStudy (kyanthedoodle):

Well @inowalst ! Looks like the student....has become the teacher! XD Lol jk.

OpenStudy (inowalst):

xP It's okay. But yeah.. I didn't read it right.
