In the figure below, angle y and angle x form vertical angles. Angle y forms a straight line with the 80° angle and the 60° angle. A straight line is shown and is marked with three angles. The first angle measures 80 degrees. The second angle measures 60 degrees. The third angle is labeled y. The line between the 60 degree angle and angle y extends below the straight line. The angle formed is labeled angle x. Write and solve an equation to determine the measure of angle x.

OpenStudy (nuccioreggie):

@Michele_Laino. Here it is

OpenStudy (michele_laino):

we have: 60+80+2 x=180

OpenStudy (nuccioreggie):

Ok so can you explain the answer with detail pleeee aasse

OpenStudy (michele_laino):

sorry I have made an error. we have x+60+80=180= flat angle furthermore we have: x=y vertical angles so: x=y=40 degrees

OpenStudy (nuccioreggie):

Ok. So thats the answer i write??

OpenStudy (michele_laino):

yes!

OpenStudy (nuccioreggie):

Is that the answer

OpenStudy (nuccioreggie):

Ok i got it thank you so much can you delete it now
