Choose the type of analogy used in this sentence: Water is to moisten as spade is to dig. synonym analogy antonym analogy description analogy function analogy

OpenStudy (anonymous):

I would consider this a function analogy.

OpenStudy (littlebird):

I have never learned about this, but I'd say function analogy because water's function is to moisten and spades dig

OpenStudy (littlebird):

Synonyms are words that have the same meaning. Water does not mean the same thing as moisten even though the have different definitions, they are not antonyms/opposites It cant be a description because moisten doesnt really describe water
