hmm i would say 70 out of 100 is the same as 35 out of 50, but that is not an answer choice. i wonder why not

unless it means in 35 attempts he made 20 and missed 15

in which case my first answer should work \[\frac{20}{35}=\frac{x}{100}\] really the wording is quite poor
