I'll fan and give medal!! I have to interview a family member and an educator/teacher for a project by asking them a question based on some information. Can anyone be my interviewee as the educator/teacher.
um ?
what do u mean information I mean what kind of info
btw my name is Maria
Ok here's the interview that I'm required to give: The United States is the only developed country that has not adopted the metric system as its standard unit of measure. The U.S. Congress passed the Metric Conversion Act of 1975, to give us a nudge toward its adoption. This effort was renewed in 1988 when Congress passed the Omnibus Trade and Competitiveness Act. This act says that the metric system is the preferred system of measure, and legislated that many of the companies that do business with the government are required to use the metric system in their dealings. Even so, the adoption of the metric system by the U.S. public has been resisted. Based off the information you've been given, why do you think we have resisted its adoption? And, do you think we should convert to metric use?
Nice to meet you Maria. I'm Tyler Lafreniere.

Yeah, I can but I don't think he wants me to ?
no it's cool if u can that's great I just thought u didn't want to
Oh okay sorry for the misunderstanding :)
It's cool
So in my opinion, I believe that the U.S. should convert it's legislature to the metric system, but there are MANY constraints to this. To change their ways NOW would be very difficult and costly. This is why scientists developed the International System of Units (SI) to communicate better in a metric system.
Also the ruler now has inches and centimeters so it can converge both units as best as they can.
Do you need more information to support my answer?
No I think we're good here thanks for the help :D
My pleasure! Just tag me if you need anymore help (:
ok
