Read the sentence: After school, Camille helped her sister Arielle. Which best identifies the underlined portion of the sentence? The word Arielle is underlined. subject direct object verb indirect object

OpenStudy (anonymous):

I think it's either the subject or the direct object.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

@keke_luvs_u I think it is either the subject or the direct object.

OpenStudy (geneticrockhopper247):

Please include what the underlined part of the sentence actually is.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

It is Arielle (it's written under the question)

OpenStudy (anonymous):

so is it a subject or a direct object?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

I think it may be direct since the subject is Camille, the action is "helped" and Arielle is the one who was helped, making her the direct subject. That's what I think, but I haven't learned much about this stuff.

Okay, thanks for your help! @madicayer
