Wrong section. Anyway the reason Congress passed the Voting Rights Act of 1965, is after slaves had their emancipation, racial discrimination in voting was a common custom. So Congress decided to stop it by creating the law, to prohibits racial discrimination in voting.

OpenStudy (i_love_my_nieces):

Thank you can you help me with a couple more, please?

OpenStudy (opcode):

Is it more history? If so ask in the right section.
