What led Congress to pass the Voting Rights Act?
I can't find it anywhere and I wanna know. And I have already asked in History a couple times and no one will help me
@isry98
Wrong section. Anyway the reason Congress passed the Voting Rights Act of 1965, is after slaves had their emancipation, racial discrimination in voting was a common custom. So Congress decided to stop it by creating the law, to prohibits racial discrimination in voting.
Thank you can you help me with a couple more, please?
