TUTORIAL ON HOW TO PLAY A MINOR SCALE! to play a minor scale you must
1- Find the 7th and 8th notes. 2- Raise them a half step. 3- Attempt to play it 1st on B flat 4- Repeat step 3 but on all 12 major scales. 5- Celebrate.
So for a c major scale, by your logic would change the root (1st and 8th) to B and the 7th, A to A#. When the scale is actually C D D# F G G# B
Bb not B
Good :)
Yah @OnePieceFTW thats correct!
I feel like I made a fool of myself though. I wrote down the intervals on paper and messed it up. It's C D Eb F G# A Bb. What did you mean by raising the 7th and 8th?
you raise them a half step. every other note is played normal but the 7th and 8th is raised a half step
Is this for the piano?
for any instrument. It doesn't matter which. you do the same thing.
or as far as I know.
It may be diff for piano, but IDK cause I play French horn.
ok, i just recently bough a piano and well i couldn't afford piano lessons after that so yeah i know nothing
http://www.halleonard.com/bin/MiscEducationalKeyboardTeacherguide1.pdf look at this. I think it may have a few tips, oh and to begin learning scales, learn major scales first. Minor scales are for when you know your majors.
it doesnt matter what the instrument is scales are the same intervals for all of the whether it be french horn or piano.
Great job!
I'm teaching myself to play piano, so this was very useful. Thanks!
